Veterinary Surgeon
Course Details
- Brian still remembers his first day as a vet in practice 25+ years ago! However, he wishes he had known some very simple tactics that he now uses every species, every consultation, every time, that would have helped him cope with the inevitable uncertainty that you might experience in your first role in a veterinary practice.
- You will be presented with a course module followed by an assessment.
- If you achieve 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident.
Aims
The key to safe practice is the ability to manage uncertainty but without coming across as too unsure – or too confident. This course aims to share some very simple communication tactics for veterinary surgeons on how to do this.
Objectives
During this course learners will be able to:
- Understand the core skills required to deliver effective consultations.
- Feel confident in how to keep to time during consultations.
- Understand where self-doubt comes from and how to avoid it.
