Course Details

  • This course will raise COSHH awareness and identify the basic measures that can be adopted in a veterinary practice to reduce the risk to those who may be affected by undertakings to a reasonably acceptable level and comply with company and statutory obligations. 
  • You will be presented with a coursebook followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
  • Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
  • If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

Aims

The aim of this course is to raise awareness of COSHH, identify measures that can be adopted in a workplace to reduce risk, and understand and comply with organizational and statutory obligations.

 

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

  • Understand the key elements of the COSHH regulations.
  • Understand what is meant by the term hazardous substances and their potential effects.
  • Understand the principles of a COSHH assessment.
  • Identify key COSHH labels/symbols and where to find further information about hazardous substances.
