Course Details

  • The Vet Whisperer programme focuses on defining, understanding, and developing self-confidence. Developing self-confidence begins by defining, understanding, and dealing with self-doubt. Colourful CPD gets more email requests and appreciation for this programme than any other. The theory Brian explains is often described as "life-changing". It's not his theory – he's just adapted it to veterinary practice.
  • You will be presented with a course module followed by an assessment.
  • If you achieve 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident.

Aims

The aim of The Vet Whisperer programme is to set out the 6 drivers of Self-Doubt, all of which are inherent to working in veterinary practice, illustrated with examples and context specific to veterinary practice. This course covers wobbles of self-doubt relating to dog spays, as well as recognising the impact of uncertainty when diagnosing the causes of medical symptoms.

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

  • Understand what the 6 D's of Dysphoria are and how they arise in veterinary practice.
  • Understand the psycho-physiological connections between mind and body and how they impact our wellbeing.
